Theatre Director
Acting was my first love for a long time. Ever since childhood, I'd look for ways to perform, eager to step into someone else's shoes. But as playwriting took a larger role in my life, I found that what I loved most about all of it - directing, performing, writing - what I loved most about theatre, was storytelling. This opened the door for me to explore storytelling as a director. Outside of an undergraduate directing class, my first real experience with directing came with my senior project, which I also wrote and performed in ("I will never do all three again," she says to herself as she simultaneously considers creating and directing herself in a one-woman show). Since then, I've directed or co-directed over a dozen shows in both community and educational environments since 2010. |
