Write Away

The first thing I like for people to know about me is that I am a playwright. Theatre and writing have always been part of my life and playwriting marries my two loves in an amazing way.  While my playwriting career is still young, I am a published playwright who has been produced - nationally and internationally - in professional, educational, community, and Fringe venues. I also have an MFA in Creative Writing with a focus in Playwriting from Wilkes University.

Victoria Rae Sook and Lindsay Andreanszky performed in Eager Risk Theater and Ensemble Atria's production of my full-length dark comedy Drowning Ophelia at the 2016 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Drowning Ophelia has been produced in the United States and Canada, and was recently published by Blue Moon Plays.
More About Drowning Ophelia
I've written eight short plays for Gaslight Theatre Company's PLAYROOM Series, including Ghost Story, which premiered in December 2019 as a part of "Living Room - Home for the Holidays."
More About PlayRoom
In addition to writing plays, I'm working on a few novels, and I recently completed my first screenplay, which I co-directed in October. You can check out all my original plays on New Play Exchange and you can click here to learn more about the books I'm querying or click here to check out production photos from my upcoming short film, Rye Mother.

The Play's the Thing

Writing. Acting. Directing. Play-making. These are the aspects of theatre that nourish my soul. As a co-founder of Ghostlight Productions, I engaged as an actor and director from 2009 to 2018. Now I'm combining my skills as a playwright, actor, and director, to build exciting theatrical works with other theatre artists. Won't you join me?

Ghostlight Productions started producing Shakespeare in the Park at South Abington Park in 2009 with Twelfth Night.  Over the course of ten years, I performed in eight productions and had the privilege of directing two of the Bard's masterpieces.

My experience with Ghostlight extends beyond Shakespeare. I was a director for two dinner theatre shows and performed in one, directed two Underage Theatre productions, and constructed a theatrical adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe short stories for the 2016 Scranton Fringe Festival.
