Last of the Vampire Hunters
Halle is an author trying to recover from writer’s block while also caring for her mother, an over-medicated hypochondriac with a very real heart problem. As Halle navigates the fight scenes in her new novel, her main character Cyrene – the last of the vampire hunters – starts to invade Halle’s everyday life in real and physical ways. Soon Halle is having sword fights with a faceless enemy, while also engaging in a verbal war with her emotionally manipulative mother. As the fights on the page spill into Halle’s life, she will need to decide which is more important: destroying her enemy or discovering peace.
